As an official partner of the Usana Foundation, Blue Ocean Alliance planted 43 garden towers in Malapascua in June 2025. This initiative is part of the Usana Foundation’s global mission to fight hunger through sustainable, community-based solutions.

In Malapascua, where access to affordable vegetables is limited, these garden towers now serve as a vital food source—especially for families under the Pamilyang Pilipino Pantawid Program. Beyond nutrition, the towers also promote self-reliance and empower households to grow their own food with dignity.

This year, we carefully selected kid-friendly snacks that are both nutritious and budget-conscious—helping families make better food choices every day. We also included essential school supplies to support children as they begin the new school year with confidence and readiness.

Little Hands Project

In a heartwarming effort led by the island’s children, 6,200 seedlings were distributed across the community—kicking off with a symbolic planting activity by the kids themselves.

This initiative is part of our Little Hands Project, which aims to make nature awareness fun and meaningful for children through interactive storytelling, hands-on planting, and playful learning. By nurturing both plants and young minds, we’re sowing the seeds of a greener, more conscious future.
